The event has become the main event to take place during Easter weekend (Semana Santa) and includes categories for youth, men and women. With a growing number of participants, the event is becoming as big and popular as any international Beach Soccer tournament, maintaining the Aruba charm. Beach Soccer today is a FIFA recognized and sanctioned sport. The 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup held in Tahiti will be the seventh edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, governed by FIFA.
The Cees Bossers Cup is an annual tournament and is dedicated to one of the first beach soccer founders, Cees Bossers.
